AirPods 2 Pre-Orders Now Shipping with Estimated Delivery by Tuesday

AirPods 2 Pre-Orders Now Shipping with Estimated Delivery by Tuesday

If you pre-ordered the 2nd generation AirPods right after Apple announced it on Wednesday, you might want to check our order status. Apple has started shipping the first batch of AirPods 2 orders out to customers. The orders, however, will only be delivered by Tuesday to most customers.

Despite the AirPods 2 not offering any significant upgrade over the original AirPods, there seems to be a high demand for them. Soon after they went up for pre-order, the AirPod 2 shipping estimate slipped to the first week of April.

If you could not get your AirPods 2 pre-order in and still want to get your hands on one as soon as possible, you should consider heading to your nearest Apple Store on Monday or Tuesday to inquire about in-store AirPods 2 stock availability.

AirPods 2 retain the same design as the original AirPods but they come with other improvements. This includes a new H1 chip that is more efficient and offers lower latency. Apple says AirPods 2 is notably faster in switching between devices, offers up to 1.5x times lower latency while on calls and gaming, and more. It also offers up to 50% more talk time at 8 hours. The chip also enables always-on ‘Hey Siri’ detection. While Apple is offering the AirPods 2 with a Qi wireless charging case, it is charging extra for it. The bundle with the Qi wireless charging case costs $199 while the one without it costs $159.
We Want to Hear From You

Has your AirPods 2 order status changed yet? If yes, when is it expected to be delivered? Did you pre-order your AirPods 2 with the wireless charging case?

2019 iPhones May Include 18W Fast Charger and USB-C to Lightning Cable

Japanese Mac blog Macotakara posted a new report tonight which indicates that Apple will maintain the Lightning connector on the 2019 iPhones but may finally be including a 18W Fast Charger and USB-C to Lightning cable.

In addition, the next iPhone seems to continue to adopt the Lightning connector, but the charging cable has been changed to the USB-C to Lightning cable, and it seems that the attached power adapter may also be changed to the Apple 18W USB-C power adapter is.

The inclusion would represent an upgrade to the currently shipping 5W USB adapter. The 18W adapter allows fast charging with iPhone X charging from 1% to 79% in one hour.

This rumor actually contradicts a previous report by the same site which expected Apple to retain the 5W adapter. Macotakara also reiterates Ming-Chi Kuo's report that this year's iPhones will have ability to wirelessly charge other devices. Also Read:4 Best iOS Cleaner Apps to Clear Junk on iPhone/iPad in 2019
